The brand name 'Coffee Shop' was conceived by our head brewer Max Riedlinger after seeing many of his friends having coffee at Starbucks around town go without leaving them with one word (“Junko! Result 2 Let us help you discover the very best of what the UK has to offer. Result 3 We like to think of ourselves as a little bit off the grid, but that doesn't mean we aren't excited about coffee. We love the idea of being able to experiment and try new things. We think our unique style and approach are just the perfect complement to your coffee experience. We believe in engaging with coffee and our customers. It's a passion of ours and we want to share it with you. We also believe that coffee is a very personal drink, and we want to make sure you feel like it. Result 4 The Coffee Shop was founded by three friends who have both worked in some capacity over the last 15 years – Peter Nothand (coffee professional), Jörg Fuchsberg-Bachmannigkeiten ("old world roaster") & Stefan Lindner (@stefanz) - our founder now retired from commercial roasting operations. Result 5 Why Our Roasts? We believe coffee is in today's market, but we are not simply roasting beans. We are a roastery that has developed a roasting process that is both progressive, and sustainable. Our roasting process is organic, sustainable and we roast in small batches with a strong focus on quality and sustainability. Our staff are trained in our process and we use only the very best European coffee beans. Our focus is on sourcing, roasting, roasting in small batches and roasting in the UK. Why Perfect Ground? Result 6 We are a wholesaler, selling to the bulk coffee trading market and retail. We use our roastery, and barista trainers and teaching as a channel to train and train again.
